Other Concessions / Waivers
  • ATM cards shall be issued free of charge to all Senior Citizens who qualify the eligibility criteria fixed by the Bank for issue of ATM card.
  • Free remittance facility shall be allowed by debit to savings bank accounts maintained by Senior Citizens for personal uses.
  • Collection charges are waived on collection of outstation cheques up to Rs.5,0007-representing pension for Senior Citizens who are maintaining accounts with Rural Branches.
  • At par collection of Pension Bills 7 Pension Cheques
"No Queue Facility"

All our branches provide "No Queue" facility to our Senior Citizen customers. Special counters have been opened in Large Size branches for this purpose.

Deposit Schemes -2006

The detail of the scheme is as under :

1. Name of the Scheme "80 C Income Tax Deposit Scheme-2006"
2. To whom the scheme is applicable? The scheme is applicable only to Scheduled Banks.
3. Who can participate 1. Individual, 2. H.U.F. (Hindu Undivided Family)
4. Minimum Period of the Scheme Minimum 5 Years and above
5. Maximum Amount of Investment Maximum Rs.1 lac (Minimum Rs. 1007-and in multiples thereof)
6. Income Tax Benefit Amount invested under this scheme will be ncluded in the various investments made under Sec. 80 C and the assessee will be eligible to get the deduction upto the eligible amount under this section.
7. Rate of Interest The rate of interest applicable to General and Senior Citizens Category for the period 5 years and above will be applicable. At present 8.50% rate of interest will be applicable to General Category and 9.00% rate of interest will be applicable to Senior Citizens. Anyfutu re revision made in the rate of interest on Fixed Deposit will be applicable to this scheme also.
